About STC Fishing Guide Service

Ken Masters is a USCG-certified captain with over 50 years of fishing experience. He offers guided crappie fishing trips from Monday through Friday, April through October, at Mark Twain Lake, based out of Southfork Resort.

You will be fishing from a 21-foot SeaArk equipped with a Yamaha 175 engine. The boat includes Hummingbird and Garmin electronics with premium Lake Master Charts on the chart plotter. The front deck is fitted with Millennium Marine Sidekick Double-Seats for comfort. The boat also has double 12’ Minn Kota Talons for shallow water fishing. Additionally, the Ultrex trolling motor has spotlock for deep water settings. The boat supports various fishing methods based on fish activity, including dipping jigs, spider rigging, longlining crankbaits, and locking down on brush piles or pole timber.

All fishing equipment is provided unless you prefer to use your own gear.

NOTE: I primarily use artificials. Depending on time of year and what the fish are doing we'll either be using Thumper Jigs or Bandit crankbaits. I've had great success with the Thumper jig lineup, and they tend to last a long time.
